Session 1 - 10.9.17
Time: 9:30am to 1:30pm
Participants: 16
Age: 6-20

We began our first session of Imagination Chapter on 10th Sept. Youth and children were excited. We went on terrace and began with various concentration and cooperative games to set the pace with each other.
After 20 minutes Vicky (one of the youth) took leadership and introduced new cooperative game where everyone has to walk backward without hurting each other as soon as he will say “walk” and when he will say “stop” everyone has to stop wherever they are.
So fun games went on for an hour and we all came down for other activities.
Vicky, Vasugi, Ajith, Pravin decided to lead small groups and they selected their team member. Every group has to create a new game either using any props or no props.
Vicky group came up with a game where everyone has to stand in circle locking their hands with each other and one person will lead the game by calling out any color - blue, red, white, yellow etc. One the color is called out then all the people standing in circle has to change their places without loosing hand lock connection. And the person who has called the name has to quickly reach to the place before the other people exchange their places. It was hilarious that everyone were becoming so active to save their place and yet having great fun.
Vasugi group created a game where two people have to come and collect the chits from two different boxes. One box have the names of people all the people who are playing the game and other box have the actions. From name box chit with name is called out loudly and in the same way from action box the action is called out loudly. Hence the person who has picked up the name has to become that person (name written on chit) and do all the actions which the other person will read from the action box. This game had great fun as laughters were bursting out every time new action was called.
Ajith group came up with a memory game where they created list of colors with various color pens. The game is that in 60 seconds the person has to read the entire list by calling out the names of colors rather then reading the text. If the text is written as YELLOW they don’t have to read YELLOW they have to say the text color. It was getting difficult as we all have habit of reading text rather then identifying the colors.
Pravin group create a board game of football. They created tickets and this was the best flavour as everyone wanted to get the ticket and play football with fingers. No one was ready to play any other game until they declared that tickets are over.
At the end of the session everyone shared their feelings about how they enjoyed and learned new things in the session.
Here are the glimpses of the session.
Feel free to join us every 2nd and 4th Sunday.
Enjoy!
